Nominations

The nominations for the 2024 GRAMMYs were announced on November 10, 2023. SZA is the most nominated artist, having received nine nominations. Three artists closely follow with seven nods each: Victoria Monét, Phoebe Bridgers, and Serban Ghenea. Notably, the big four categories were dominated by women, as Jon Batiste is the only male artist nominated in the Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Album of the Year categories.

The Best New Artist category is a close battle between Gracie Abrams, Fred Again.., Ice Spice, Jelly Roll, Coco Jones, Noah Kahan, Victoria Monét, and The War and Treaty.

New Categories and Changes

Some changes have occurred for the 2024 GRAMMYs. Here are a few:

Three new categories have been added: Best African Music Performance, Best Alternative Jazz Album, and Best Pop Dance Recording.

Nominees in the big four categories were reduced from ten to eight.

The Producer of the Year, Non-Classical, and Songwriter of the Year, Non-Classical categories were moved to the General Field. This change means that the entire Grammy voting membership can vote on those two categories.
