The first day of Coachella Festival 2024 saw memorable performances from some of the music industry’s biggest stars. Lana Del Rey kicked off day one as the first headliner. The iconic artist performed songs from her entire discography, from “Without You” to “Young and Beautiful,” and also surprised fans with some special guests. Grammy-winning artist Jon Batiste joined her on stage to sing “Candy Necklace,” and Jack Antonoff did the same for “⁠(Holograma) Hope Is A Dangerous Thing For A Woman Like Me To Have.” However, Del Rey had an even bigger surprise in store for her fans: Billie Eilish.

Towards the end of her set, Lana Del Rey brought out none other than Billie Eilish, leaving fans in awe. The duo enchanted the crowd with a rendition of Eilish’s debut single “Ocean Eyes” first, followed by Del Rey’s “Video Games.” During their performance, Eilish took a moment to praise her fellow star, stating, “[Lana Del Rey] is the reason for half of you b*tches’ existence, including mine.” Del Rey reciprocated the praise, referring to Eilish as “the voice of our generation” and “the voice of your generation.”

While Billie Eilish gears up to release her highly anticipated third studio album “Hit Me Hard and Soft” on May 17th, Lana Del Rey is set to headline Coachella 2024 again next Friday, April 19th. If you missed Lana and Billie’s performance of “Ocean Eyes” and “Video Games,” you can watch both below.
