Tracklist and Features

The official tracklist of “The Tortured Poets Department” was unveiled shortly after the album’s announcement. The album comprises 16 tracks and has a total length of just over an hour — 65 minutes. There are only two collaborations on the record, but Taylor made sure to bring two incredible artists. Post Malone is featured on the first track, “Fortnight,” in which he is also credited as a writer. Florence and the Machine are featured on the eighth track, “Florida!!!” The group’s vocalist, Florence Welch, co-wrote the song.

It’s not clear yet which of the tracks will serve as the lead single, but of course there will be one to be released tomorrow. In fact, through a video posted on Instagram, Taylor announced a video coming out on April 19th, and many think it will be “Fortnight.” Additionally, the same video highlights another date, April 20th, which is Record Store Day.

Who Produced The Album?

For “The Tortured Poets Department,” Taylor Swift recruited her longtime friends as producers: The Bleachers’ Jack Antonoff and The National’s Aaron Dessner. Both of them are Taylor’s longtime collaborators. Antonoff co-produced all of her albums in the last 10 years: “1989,” “Reputation,” “Lover,” “Folklore,” “Evermore,” “Fearless (Taylor’s Version),” “Red (Taylor’s Version),” “Midnights,” “Speak Now (Taylor’s Version),” and “1989 (Taylor’s Version).” Dessner co-produced “Folklore” and “Evermore.”
