The Eras Tour: The Surprise Songs Taylor Swift Performed in Edinburgh

Last weekend, Taylor Swift kicked off her UK shows with three performances at Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh, Scotland. A lot happened during these three Scottish nights of the Eras Tour. After breaking attendance records in numerous stadiums, Taylor announced that the record was also shattered at Murrayfield Stadium: “You have broken the all-time attendance record for this stadium tonight!” She thanked the crowd using Scottish slang, saying, “Way to make a lass feel welcome!” During her performance, the “Fortnight” singer expressed regret for not visiting Scotland more frequently on previous tours, “We really didn’t come to Scotland enough.” On the second night, there was a sweet moment when a couple got engaged during the concert. Taylor noticed and exclaimed, “Thanks for doing that at my concert, that’s a big moment!”

As usual, Taylor included a segment for surprise songs not typically featured in the set list. On the first night, she performed two mashups: “Would’ve, Could’ve, Should’ve” with “I Know Places,” and “‘Tis the Damn Season” with “Daylight.” The second night featured even more surprises. Hyping the crowd, she said, “I’ve never played this song before,” and then sang “The Bolter” for the first time, mixed with “Getaway Car.” This was followed by a mashup of “All of the Girls You Loved Before” and the live debut of “Crazier.” On the final night, she enchanted the audience with a mashup of “It’s Nice to Have a Friend” and “Dorothea,” followed by “Haunted” and “Exile.”

A few hours after the final show, Taylor took to Instagram to thank the Scottish Swifties for their warm welcome: “Edinburgh!!! You truly blew me away this weekend. Thank you for breaking the all-time attendance record for a stadium show in Scotland 3 times in a row and for all the ways you made us feel right at home. Love you, all 220,000 of you!!!” Now, the Grammy-winning star is gearing up for three concerts this week in Liverpool at Anfield. See below for the upcoming dates of The Eras Tour:
