Fans Caused Earthquake in Edinburgh When Taylor Swift Performed These Songs

It’s impossible for fans not to dance, jump, and scream when a superstar like Taylor Swift takes the stage. Last week, the Eras Tour visited Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh, Scotland, and drew large audiences for all three nights of the Popstar’s performances, breaking the stadium’s attendance record. The Grammy-winning artist was stunned by the warm welcome she received and admitted that she “didn’t come to Scotland enough” on previous tours. The crowd showed their support for the pop icon… by causing earthquake!

As reported by the British Geological Survey, earthquake readings were detected within a 4-mile radius of Murrayfield Stadium while Taylor was performing. The peak occurred during her performances of “…Ready for It?”, “Cruel Summer,” and “champagne problems.” This is not the first time such an event has happened during the Eras Tour. Back in July 2023, the so-called “Swift Quake” was detected when the singer performed in Seattle, reaching a peak magnitude of 2.3!

So far, the Eras Tour has been nothing short of a cultural phenomenon, with fans’ enthusiasm literally shaking the ground beneath them. From breaking attendance records to causing actual earthquakes, the tour has underscored Taylor Swift’s immense impact on her audience and the music industry.
