The 2024 MelOn Music Awards took place today at the Inspire Arena in South Korea. Aespa, IU, and TWS were the most-nominated acts, each securing seven nods. All three, along with (G)I-DLE, were contenders in the main Daesang categories: Album of the Year, Artist of the Year, and Song of the Year.
It was Aespa who emerged as the top winner of the night, sweeping all the categories they were nominated in, including the three prestigious Daesangs: Song of the Year with “Supernova”, Artist of the Year, and Album of the Year with “Armageddon.” Meanwhile, (G)I-DLE took home the coveted Record of the Year award. RIIZE followed closely with five wins. Among soloists, BTS’ Jungkook stood out as the biggest winner, securing three MelOn Music Awards.
The ceremony featured a star-studded lineup of performers, including K-Pop heavyweights TWS, IVE, (G)I-DLE, and Aespa, who treated fans to exceptional performances.
