Charlie Puth is looking ahead — and he believes 2026 will mark a cultural reset. In a recent post on X, the Grammy-nominated singer, songwriter, and producer shared a prediction about what the new year will look like. “2026 will be the year of analog,” Puth wrote. “It will be the first year in a while where it feels weird to be on your phone all day. I predict fewer phones at concerts too…

Puth’s perspective carries particular weight as he enters one of the most significant periods of his career. His upcoming album, Whatever’s Clever!, is set for release on March 6, 2026, via Atlantic Records. The project will feature 12 tracks and seven collaborations, positioning it as one of the most anticipated projects of the first quarter of the year. The album’s lead single, “Changes,” was released on October 16 and introduced a warm, retro-leaning sound inspired by ’80s pop, with influences ranging from Steve Winwood to Michael Jackson’s “Human Nature.

Beyond the studio, 2026 is shaping up to be a landmark year for the artist. The NFL has confirmed that Puth will perform “The Star-Spangled Banner” at Super Bowl LX on February 8, 2026, at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara. Produced in partnership with Roc Nation, the ceremony places Puth alongside Brandi Carlile and Coco Jones.
