Dua Lipa delivered another standout moment on the Radical Optimism Tour as she continued her three-night run in Mexico City. On Tuesday, December 2, the pop star returned to Estadio GNP Seguros for the second of her sold-out shows and surprised the crowd by bringing out Fher Olvera, the legendary frontman of the Mexican rock band Maná. Together, they performed “Oye Mi Amor,” the group’s beloved 1992 hit.

The duet marked another memorable highlight of the tour’s Latin American leg. Lipa, who has been widely praised for her warm and precise Spanish pronunciation, handled the verses with her signature confidence.

The moment arrived just one day after Dua opened her Mexico City run with a heartfelt tribute to the country’s musical heritage. During the December 1 concert, she delivered a tender Spanish-language cover of “Bésame Mucho,” the timeless bolero written by Consuelo Velázquez. Her rendition, inspired by Luis Miguel’s iconic arrangement, earned widespread praise and set the tone for what has become a culturally immersive finale to the Radical Optimism era.

Lipa’s approach has been consistent throughout the tour. In every country she visits, she incorporates a local classic into the setlist, creating viral moments that resonate far beyond the venue. She performed Shakira’s “Antología” in Colombia, Mon Laferte’s “Tu Falta de Querer” in Chile, and La Ley’s “El Duelo.” Across Europe and North America, she also delivered memorable covers, occasionally bringing out stars such as Brandi Carlile, Gwen Stefani, and Lionel Richie.

With only one Mexico City date left—December 5—Dua Lipa is preparing to close the Radical Optimism Tour with the same global warmth, cross-cultural exchange, and musical curiosity that have defined its strongest moments.
