A fan-led Heeseung ENHYPEN petition has surpassed one million signatures in less than 24 hours, reflecting the intense reaction to the singer’s departure from the group. The campaign, launched on Change.org, calls on BELIFT LAB and its parent company HYBE to allow Heeseung to pursue solo activities without leaving ENHYPEN.

Titled “Allow Heeseung to Pursue Solo Activities Without Leaving ENHYPEN,” the petition emerged hours after the label confirmed on March 10, that the vocalist would step away from the group to focus on a solo career. Supporters argue that the decision forces an unnecessary split between individual ambitions and group identity — two paths that often coexist within the K-pop industry.

The announcement marked the first lineup change since ENHYPEN debuted in November 2020 following the survival program I-Land. For more than five years, the group’s seven-member structure had remained intact.

According to BELIFT LAB’s official statement posted on Weverse, the decision followed “extensive and in-depth discussions” regarding the group’s long-term direction. Company representatives explained that Heeseung expressed a desire to pursue a “distinct musical vision” that diverges from ENHYPEN’s collective sound. Leadership ultimately chose to support that path.

Despite the departure, the singer will remain signed to the agency and is already preparing his debut solo album. Meanwhile, ENHYPEN will continue promotions as six members: Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo, Jungwon, and Ni-ki.
