New Music Friday is here! This week’s biggest drop comes from Jack Harlow, whose fourth studio album Monica arrives tonight to coincide with his 28th birthday. Recorded at the legendary Electric Lady Studios, the 9-track project marks his first full-length release since Jackman. debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Rap Albums chart in 2023. The album was largely written after Harlow relocated to New York City.
Meanwhile, James Blake returns with his seventh studio album, Trying Times, released independently through his own imprint, Good Boy Records. The British artist described the project as a reflection on intimacy and emotional presence in an increasingly unstable world. The album features a reunion with Dave on “Doesn’t Just Happen” and a guest appearance from Monica Martin on “Didn’t Come To Argue.”
Elsewhere, 20-year-old breakout artist Sienna Spiro officially releases “The Visitor,” a track that had been circulating widely on TikTok for months. The cinematic ballad explores themes of impermanence and emotional distance, anchored by a vocal-forward performance and orchestral strings recorded at Valentine Studios.
The release arrives in the middle of Spiro’s sold-out The Visitor Tour and follows her breakthrough success with the single “Die on This Hill.”
