Céline Dion has confirmed her long-awaited return to the stage. The singer will perform a limited run of 10 shows in Paris this fall, marking her first major concert series since pausing touring due to health issues.
The announcement arrived on March 30—her 58th birthday—through an emotional video message broadcast near the Eiffel Tower. “This year, I’m getting the best birthday gift of my life… I’m getting the chance to see you, to perform for you once again in Paris, beginning in September,” she said. Dion added that she feels “good,” “strong,” and “excited,” while acknowledging a sense of nerves ahead of her return.
Her return follows a prolonged absence tied to her diagnosis of Stiff-person syndrome, a rare condition that affects muscle control and has significantly impacted her ability to perform. First revealed in December 2022, the diagnosis led to the cancellation of her Courage World Tour, which had already faced delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Those cancellations included previously scheduled Paris dates, making this upcoming run a full-circle moment.
Dion’s last major live appearance came on July 26, 2024, when she performed “Hymne à l’Amour” during the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics. The performance, delivered from the Eiffel Tower, was widely praised for its emotional weight and vocal control, offering a rare glimpse of her return to form after years away from the stage.
