Miley Cyrus has just released her ninth studio album, Something Beautiful, and fans are enjoying every track on the project. In one of the songs, titled “Every Girl You Ever Loved,” she seemingly refers to Dua Lipa—or at least that’s what some fans believe. Here are the lines that captured listeners’ attention: “She speaks the perfect French / She can dance the night away / And still she’ll never break a sweat.

The first line appears to reference Dua’s “French Exit,” a track from her album Radical Optimism, as well as the fact that the British singer occasionally speaks French. The second line seems like a clear nod to Dua’s smash hit “Dance the Night” from the Barbie soundtrack.

Miley and Dua’s successful careers crossed paths back in 2020, when they teamed up on the global hit “Prisoner” from Miley’s album Plastic Hearts. Since then, fan theories about a potential rift have circulated—especially after the song’s credits on Spotify were updated in April 2025 to list Dua Lipa as the primary artist, with Miley as a featured artist, sparking rumors of a fallout.

However, neither artist has publicly addressed any conflict or confirmed any lyrical references to each other. As of now, it remains purely a fan theory.
