Louis Tomlinson is officially kicking off a new era. The English singer-songwriter has announced his brand-new single, “Lemonade,” which will be released on September 30. The track marks his first original music since wrapping up a massive touring run and could signal the start of his highly anticipated third studio album.

“Lemonade” comes after an incredibly busy three years for Tomlinson. His second studio album Faith in the Future, released in November 2022 through BMG, became a milestone in his career, debuting at No. 1 in the U.K. and topping charts in countries such as Spain, Argentina, and Belgium. In the U.S., the record reached No. 5 on the Billboard 200, marking his highest-charting release yet. Supported by singles like “Bigger Than Me,” “Out of My System,” and fan-favorite “Silver Tongues,” the album earned high praise from fans.

To bring Faith in the Future to life, Tomlinson embarked on his largest tour to date. The Faith in the Future World Tour, which began in May 2023. He later captured that energy on his surprise live album Live in April 2024, which featured recordings from 15 different shows across 15 cities.

Beyond the album and tour, Tomlinson also dominated the festival circuit in 2024, performing at major European stops including Pinkpop, Ruisrock, Santander Music, Sziget, Victorious Festival, and Lollapalooza Berlin. His presence on stage was recognized when he was named Artist of the Year at the inaugural Northern Music Awards.
