Olivia Rodrigo is deepening the mystery around her third album rollout. On March 20, the singer updated her fan hotline with a cryptic message while simultaneously refreshing her “OR3” mural in Los Angeles to read a single word: “LOVE.”
The hotline message leans into a reflective, almost cosmic tone. “What resonates and leave what does not? Waiting for your destiny may feel like watching paint dry. But your patience will be rewarded soon,” the recording states, before hinting at a timeline: “Expect true clarity and renewal just after the pink moon.” The reference immediately sparked theories online, with fans connecting it to April’s lunar cycle and a potential release window.
Visual clues are aligning with that narrative. The updated mural marks the latest shift in Rodrigo’s aesthetic, following a series of changes to her official website that replaced the GUTS-era purple with a brighter pink palette. Days earlier, a heart-shaped lock installation spotted in London—also marked with “April”—circulated widely across social media, reinforcing speculation that the next phase is imminent.
Recent comments suggest the creative direction is equally intentional. In an interview with British Vogue, Rodrigo described the upcoming project as “very varied,” adding, “I really wanted to figure out how to write about joy on this album.” The statement signals a tonal evolution from SOUR and GUTS, both of which centered on heartbreak and emotional volatility.
