The Canadian superstar took to Instagram to rave about Chappell’s “Good Luck, Babe!”, writing, “I know everyone knows this already but my god this song is so good,” adding, “Chappell Roan, you got me good, I want this song to reach the moon.” Shawn isn’t the only pop icon to show love for the rising star. Selena Gomez, Lorde, and Charli XCX have all praised the Midwest Princess in recent months.
Both Shawn and Chappell performed at last week’s MTV VMAs, where Chappell lit up the stage with her biggest hit. Shawn, meanwhile, premiered his latest single, “Nobody Knows,” from his upcoming album Shawn. The night was especially unforgettable for Chappell, as she took home the award for Best New Artist.
