The first 24 hours, along with the first week, are the most important times to measure the success of a new album. In the last 10 years, the impact of streaming, particularly Spotify, has escalated, giving millions of fans the chance to immediately listen to new music after its release. In the 2020s decade, the interest around new albums, especially from established stars like Taylor Swift, Drake, Beyoncé, BTS, and Bad Bunny, is significantly growing, and this interest translates into a daily peak of streams for the artists themselves. An exclusive elite club of artists can boast the remarkable achievement of amassing more than 100 million streams for their new album in the first day. Taylor Swift holds the crown, as four of her albums, including the most recent The Tortured Poets Department, have achieved this accomplishment.
