Olivia Rodrigo has achieved yet another historic milestone. Her debut album SOUR has officially become the first album in Spotify history where every track has surpassed 400 million streams. The latest song to reach the mark is the emotional closer “hope ur ok,” which also becomes Rodrigo’s 17th track overall to cross the 400-million threshold on the platform.
Released in May 2021, SOUR has become one of the most successful debut albums of the streaming era. Anchored by global hits like “drivers license,” “good 4 u,” and “deja vu,” the record continues to amass millions of streams nearly five years after its release.

Earlier this year, SOUR also made history as the first album with four songs surpassing 2 billion streams each. “drivers license,” “good 4 u,” “traitor,” and “deja vu” all joined Spotify’s ultra-exclusive 2-billion club. In addition, SOUR remains the only female album with over 15 billion total streams on the platform.
Rodrigo’s rise to superstardom began with her breakthrough single “drivers license,” which became a cultural phenomenon in early 2021. The song shattered global records, debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and earning multiple platinum certifications. Its success propelled SOUR to worldwide acclaim, winning Rodrigo three Grammy Awards, including Best New Artist and Best Pop Vocal Album.
Following the massive success of her debut, Rodrigo proved her staying power with her sophomore album GUTS in 2023. The project debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and spawned hits like “vampire” and “bad idea right?”
Now, the 22-year-old superstar is preparing for the third chapter of her career. After recently wrapping up her Guts World Tour, Olivia headed back to the studio to begin crafting her third studio album. She recently revealed that she isn’t one of those artists who have the ability to write songs while on tour. Instead, she prefers the quiet of home — a place where she feels more comfortable when it comes to writing music. “On tour, it’s actually really difficult for me to write songs,” she said in a recent interview. “I have so many friends who can grab their guitar in any random dressing room and write a great song, but I’ve just never been that way. I always find that I’m the most inspired when I can be at home and feel really grounded and comfortable in my surroundings.”
