A decade after Coloring Book reshaped the streaming era, Chance the Rapper is taking the project back on the road. The Chicago artist officially announced the Coloring Book 10 Year Anniversary Tour on May 14, giving fans a chance to revisit one of hip-hop’s defining releases of the 2010s through a run of intimate North American shows.
Presale registration is now open ahead of ticket access beginning Tuesday, May 19. The newly announced dates include stops in Cleveland, Montreal, Toronto, New York, Boston, Philadelphia, and more.
The tour arrives exactly 10 years after Coloring Book first debuted on May 13, 2016 as an Apple Music exclusive before expanding to all streaming services two weeks later on May 27. At the time, the mixtape fundamentally changed industry conversations around streaming eligibility and independent distribution. Fueled entirely by streams, Coloring Book became the first streaming-only project to chart on the Billboard 200, eventually peaking at No. 8.
Its impact extended far beyond commercial milestones. Built around gospel influences, live instrumentation, and deeply personal writing, the mixtape featured contributions from Kanye West, Justin Bieber, Young Thug, Kirk Franklin, Francis and the Lights, 2 Chainz, and the Chicago Children’s Choir. Tracks like “No Problem,” “Blessings,” and “Same Drugs” helped define Chance’s artistic identity during his commercial peak.
Recognition followed quickly. At the 2017 Grammy Awards, Coloring Book won Best Rap Album, making history as the first streaming-only album ever to receive a Grammy Award.
