Kanye West (aka Ye) has officially released Bully on major streaming platforms on March 28, ending days of uncertainty around the album’s rollout. The project is now available on Spotify, after initially debuting through a YouTube livestream. He also released the lead single “Father” featuring Travis Scott.

The release follows a fragmented launch that left fans without access on streaming services throughout March 27, despite earlier confirmations pointing to that date. Instead of a traditional midnight drop, West premiered the album via livestream shortly after midnight, paired with listening events in select cities. Pre-save pages that had appeared earlier in the week remained inactive or were removed entirely, reinforcing confusion around the official release timeline.

That unconventional approach fits a broader pattern. On March 18, West shared three work-in-progress versions of Bully via X, each featuring alternate tracklists and evolving arrangements. Those early iterations arrived alongside Bully V1, a short film edited by Hype Williams, starring his son Saint and built around a surreal wrestling-inspired narrative.

Delays have defined Bully’s path to release for nearly a year. Initially announced in September 2024 with a target date of June 15, 2025, the album was repeatedly postponed to July 25, September 26, November 7, December 12, January 30, March 20, and ultimately March 27, 2026. Earlier this week, three global listening events scheduled for March 26 were scrapped, signaling last-minute revisions were still underway.

Artificial intelligence became a central talking point during the album’s development. Early versions included AI-generated vocals replicating West’s voice, a creative decision he publicly defended. Criticism escalated after a vinyl rip leaked on March 24, reportedly still featuring AI elements. Within hours, West responded with an updated tracklist and confirmed that the final version would remove AI, promising re-recorded vocals instead.

Now available in its official form, Bully marks West’s first solo studio album since Donda 2 and arrives after one of the most unpredictable rollout cycles of his career.
