Kanye West returned to the U.S. stage on April 1 with YE – Live in Los Angeles at SoFi Stadium, delivering his first headlined American concert in roughly five years. The show marked the opening night of a two-date run, with a second performance scheduled for April 3 at the same venue.
The concert signaled a major shift back to large-scale stadium production. West performed atop a rotating Earth structure positioned at the center of the floor, surrounded by a dome-like installation that projected a detailed, spinning globe.
Guest appearances shaped several of the night’s standout moments. André Troutman joined West for “All the Love” and “Say You Will,” while North West appeared for “Talking” and “PIERCING ON MY HAND.” Later in the set, Don Toliver took the stage for “Moon” and “E85,” extending the collaborative energy tied to West’s latest material.
The performance arrives days after the release of Bully, his 12th studio album, which dropped March 28. The project opened with 33.2 million first-day streams on Spotify, earning the third-biggest rap debut of 2026 despite losing approximately six hours of tracking due to its delayed arrival on major DSPs. That rollout began with a YouTube livestream premiere tied to listening events, leaving fans without immediate access on platforms like Spotify and Apple Music before its eventual release later in the tracking window. Early projections point toward a top-two debut in the United States, led by tracks including “Father” featuring Travis Scott.
This Los Angeles return follows a stretch of international appearances across Mexico, China, and South Korea, with West largely absent from the U.S. touring circuit since December 2021, when he headlined a benefit concert in Los Angeles alongside Drake. The SoFi Stadium shows therefore mark a significant re-entry into the domestic live market.
Plans for the coming months suggest the momentum will continue. West is set to perform across Europe this summer, with scheduled stops in Madrid, Marseille, and Reggio Emilia, in addition to headlining all three nights of Wireless Festival in London.
