NBA YoungBoy is taking his MASA Tour to the big screen with American YoungBoy, a concert documentary set to arrive in theaters on April 22, 2026. A first trailer previews an unfiltered look at the rapper’s life on and off stage, anchoring one of hip-hop’s most commercially dominant runs of the past decade.

Directed by Nico Ballesteros, the 75-minute film centers on YoungBoy’s Make America Slime Again Tour, capturing footage from all 42 sold-out arena dates. High-energy performance clips are paired with backstage access, rehearsals, and quieter moments at home, offering a more complete portrait of the Baton Rouge artist beyond the spotlight. The project is produced by Foundation Media Partners in collaboration with his own banner, 38 Films.

In an official statement, Foundation Media Partners CEO Patrick Hughes outlined the intent behind the documentary is “to capture YoungBoy’s energy honestly and cinematically.

The MASA Tour provides a substantial foundation for that narrative. Spanning 42 dates, the run was entirely sold out and ranked among the top global tours of its cycle. According to Touring Data, the Tour is the highest-grossing tour by any debut headlining rapper in U.S. history, pulling in $70 million from 552,000 tickets sold across 42 sold-out shows.

The achievement puts the run in rarefied air among hip-hop tours. That $70 million total ranks it as the 11th highest-grossing hip-hop tour of all time, eclipsing Travis Scott’s Astroworld – Wish You Were Here Tour, which grossed $64 million.

The tour supported YoungBoy Never Broke Again’s eighth studio album, MASA, and ran from September 1, 2025, in Dallas to its finale on November 12, 2025, in Seattle. Initially announced as a 27-date arena trek, it ballooned quickly due to massive presale demand. Additional dates added in May and June brought the final count to 42 shows—all of which sold out at 100% capacity.

It marked YoungBoy’s first tour in five years, following his 2020 Still Flexin, Still Steppin run. The timing aligned with his increased public presence after being released from house arrest and receiving probation adjustments in early 2025.

Although the tour promoted the MASA album, the setlist drew heavily from across YoungBoy’s extensive catalog. Supporting acts included DeeBaby, K3, Lil Dump, NoCap, Offset, and Toosii
