On December 6, 2025, ROSÉ celebrates the one-year anniversary of her debut studio album, Rosie. The BLACKPINK star shared a heartfelt message with fans on Instagram, reflecting on the transformative year shaped by the record’s global impact. “‘rosie’ turns one today. what a year,” she wrote. “thank you for taking care of this album. your hearts and your souls along with it too (if you may)! thank you for accepting ‘rosie’ as she is and making her feel like a number one girl.”
Originally released to widespread acclaim, Rosie quickly distinguished itself as one of the most successful and influential K-pop solo projects of the decade. Commercially, the album debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200—earning the highest chart position ever for a K-pop female soloist—and secured top-ten entries in major markets including the United Kingdom, Australia, Japan, and South Korea. It has since received double-platinum certification from the Korea Music Content Association, along with several international gold certifications.
Much of the album’s momentum was fueled by its hit singles. “APT.,” ROSÉ’s viral collaboration with Bruno Mars, topped the Billboard Global 200 and reached No. 1 across multiple countries, becoming one of the most dominant global hits of 2024 and 2025. Follow-up singles “Number One Girl” and “Toxic Till the End” further extended her chart success.
The one-year milestone arrives at a defining moment for ROSÉ. Just days before her anniversary message, she delivered an intimate performance at the GRAMMY Museum’s Clive Davis Theater, where she reflected on the album’s creation and emotional depth. The event also highlighted her groundbreaking recognition at the upcoming 2026 GRAMMY Awards, where she is nominated in three major categories—Song of the Year, Record of the Year, and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance—for “APT.” The nominations mark a historic first for a K-pop solo artist competing in top categories.
