Will Zendaya Return To Music? ‘Maybe I Would Put Out A Little Something’

Zendaya stopped by The Jennifer Hudson Show to discuss her new film “Challengers”, the upcoming Met Gala, and… new music! “I love music and it’s something that’s been special to me,” the actress and singer revealed when Kate Hudson asked, “Where did the music come from?”

Zendaya expressed how sometimes the music industry can pressure an artist, “I think being in the music industry maybe it didn’t kill the joy of music, but sometimes when you put music and business together, it cannot feel so good,” she explained. The 27-year-old star also hinted that she’s “creating” something just for herself, but she may release new music in the future, “if there was a moment, maybe I would put out a little something.”

Zendaya started her musical venture in 2012 when she signed to Hollywood Records to work on her debut album. The following year, she dropped her first single “Replay,” which achieved massive success, peaking at No. 40 on the Billboard Hot 100 and achieving the 3x Platinum certification in the US. Shortly afterward, her debut self-titled album arrived. Nine years ago, in 2015, Timbaland confirmed that Zendaya’s second studio album was in the works, but as of 2024, it hasn’t been released yet as the artist has been fully focused on her acting career. Despite that, Zendaya has released several singles in the last few years, especially for the HBO series “Euphoria,” in which she plays the character of Rue Bennett.

Now it seems that the multitalented artist is gearing up to release new material. Watch Zendaya talking about new music below:
