BABYMONSTER has officially announced its next release, unveiling the mini album CHOOM, set to arrive on May 4. The reveal came with a brief but striking teaser, signaling the group’s return less than seven months after their previous project.
The 9-second clip introduces a high-intensity concept built around racing visuals, featuring drifting red cars and clouds of tire smoke. Tracklist, concept photos, and official artwork are expected to roll out in the coming weeks as part of a phased promotional campaign.
The announcement follows the success of WE GO UP, released on October 10, 2025, through YG Entertainment. The four-track project topped domestic charts in South Korea and reached No. 13 on the Billboard Top Album Sales ranking, marking a significant step in the group’s global expansion.
Attention around the comeback extends beyond the music itself. Ongoing questions remain regarding member Rami, who has been on indefinite hiatus since May 2025 due to health-related issues. At the time, YG Entertainment confirmed that group activities would continue with six members—Ruka, Pharita, Asa, Ahyeon, Rora, and Chiquita—without providing further details on her condition.
Updates since then have been limited. During an October 2025 fansign event, Pharita shared that Rami was “still unwell, but she’s getting better,” offering a rare glimpse into her recovery process. No official statement has clarified whether she will participate in the upcoming release, leaving fans closely monitoring each new teaser for potential confirmation.
