Jackson Wang has signed a global management deal with Roc Nation, bringing the Hong Kong-born artist into Jay-Z’s expanding international roster. The announcement arrives alongside “Thank You,” a new fan-dedicated single that marks Wang’s first release under the partnership.
Roc Nation is positioning the agreement as part of its broader expansion across Asia, while giving Wang a new management partner for his growing presence in Western music, fashion and live entertainment.

“Thank You” gives the deal an immediate musical introduction. The black-and-white video, co-directed by Ojun Kwon and filmed on the iPhone 18 Pro, traces different chapters of Wang’s life, moving through his fencing background, childhood, GOT7 years, solo career and the beginning of his next chapter.
The video also reflects Wang’s unusually direct relationship with his audience. Fans from more than 80 countries applied to participate, with 30 ultimately appearing in the shoot. Wang has emphasized that he does not want a “middle person or a filter” between himself and his fans, an approach that has also shaped Team Wang since he founded the company in 2017.
His career has consistently crossed boundaries. Born Wang Ka-yee in Hong Kong on March 28, 1994, he competed as a Junior Olympic-level saber fencer before auditioning for JYP Entertainment in 2010 and debuting with GOT7 in 2014. Three years later, he established Team Wang to oversee his China-based and global solo activities, eventually expanding the business into fashion through Team Wang Design.
Wang’s solo discography has also established a significant U.S. presence. Mirrors, released in 2019, made him the first Chinese soloist to appear on the Billboard 200, while 2022’s Magic Man peaked at No. 15. MAGICMAN 2 followed in 2025, reaching No. 13 and helping Wang enter the Billboard Artist 100’s Top 15.
