JENNIE has added another major milestone to her solo career. Her debut studio album Ruby has officially surpassed 3 billion streams on Spotify, making her just the second female K-pop soloist ever to reach the mark with a single album.
The achievement places JENNIE alongside fellow BLACKPINK member ROSÉ, whose debut album Rosie remains the most-streamed album by a female K-pop soloist on the platform. Across all female K-pop acts, JENNIE becomes the third act to cross the 3 billion threshold with a project, joining ROSÉ and BLACKPINK’s blockbuster albums THE ALBUM and BORN PINK.
Released on March 7, 2025, through ODD ATELIER and Columbia Records, Ruby represented a defining moment in JENNIE’s artistic evolution. The project arrived as her first full-length solo album following her departure from YG Entertainment and Interscope Records in late 2023, giving her greater creative freedom and control over her music and visual direction.
Commercially, the album made an immediate impact. Ruby sold more than one million copies worldwide during its opening week, including over 660,000 units in South Korea according to Hanteo. The figure established the highest first-week sales recorded by a female K-pop soloist in 2025.
Internationally, the project proved equally successful. The album debuted inside the Top 10 in 19 countries and entered the Billboard 200 at No. 7, tying the second-highest peak ever achieved by a female K-pop soloist at the time. In the United Kingdom, Ruby debuted at No. 3 on the UK Albums Chart, setting a new record for the highest-charting album by a female K-pop soloist in British chart history.
Spotify has played a significant role in the album’s continued success. Leading the streaming charge is “Like Jennie,” which has amassed approximately 870 million streams on the platform. “Mantra” follows closely behind with more than 553 million streams, helping fuel the album’s steady climb toward the historic 3 billion mark.
The milestone arrives just months after JENNIE celebrated the first anniversary of the project with Ruby (The Complete Collection), an expanded edition released on March 6, 2026.
