TAEMIN officially launched his 2026–27 LiMiNaL World Tour on September 18 with the first of three Seoul shows at Jamsil Indoor Stadium. The opening night ran for more than two hours and featured roughly 28 songs, combining the new PHASE 1 : Soft Violence material with reworked versions of key tracks from across his solo career.
The Seoul run, continuing through September 20, marks the first full live presentation of all 11 songs from PHASE 1 : Soft Violence, released August 31. Rather than treating the EP as a standalone set, TAEMIN folds its material into a career-spanning production that moves between choreography-heavy performances, a piano segment and atmospheric staging built around large fabric installations and wind.

The tour’s title reflects the concept behind the new era. TAEMIN has described “liminal” as the threshold before something changes, framing the tour as a message to himself and a step beyond the way he has approached his work previously. That idea gives the Seoul concerts a transitional quality, connecting his history as a SHINee member and solo artist with the direction he is beginning to explore on Soft Violence.
The setlist draws heavily from his established solo catalog. “MOVE,” “WANT,” “Advice,” “Guilty,” “IDEA” and “Press Your Number” appear alongside “Ace” and the paired performances of “2 Kids” and “Sad Kids,” while the new EP provides the foundation for the latest chapter.
Soft Violence itself arrived after a year of significant changes for TAEMIN. He left BPM Entertainment in February amid reports concerning unpaid fees and signed with Galaxy Corporation in March. His first full-English single, “Long Way Home,” followed on March 27, before he became the first Korean male soloist to perform at Coachella in April, where he previewed six unreleased songs on the Mojave Stage.
“Permission” was released as a digital single in May and later became part of Soft Violence. The EP also includes the double-title tracks “FLOAT” and “Gooey,” both of which TAEMIN has promoted through Korean music shows.
The LiMiNaL production gives those songs a new setting while allowing older material to remain central to the show.
Following Seoul, the tour heads to North America in October with stops in San Jose, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Grand Prairie, Chicago and Newark. Mexico, Chile, Peru and Brazil follow before the European leg reaches Paris, Berlin, Frankfurt, London and Amsterdam.
