Anitta is continuing to map out her next era with precision. On April 3, the Brazilian star unveiled the near-complete tracklist for EQUILIBRIVM, leaving one slot intentionally blank and fueling speculation around a hidden feature or surprise record.

The reveal came through a video that closed with the tracklist presented in Roman numerals. Track VIII appears as a blank space, a deliberate omission that has already sparked online theories about a surprise or unannounced collaboration. Notably, no featured artists are listed, despite Anitta previously confirming studio work with Brazilian names including Luedji Luna, Rincon Sapiência, and King.

The rollout builds on momentum established earlier this week. On March 30, Anitta confirmed that EQUILIBRIVM will be released on April 16, aligning the announcement with her 33rd birthday. “The birthday is mine, but the gift is ours! Let’s get started…,” she wrote, teasing the project with visuals of a white chapel set against misty mountain landscapes.

Lead single “Pinterest” offered the first glimpse into that direction. Released in early March, the track draws from Anitta’s childhood memories and sense of self, with the singer describing it as a reflection on reconnecting with her “purest essence.” Sonically, the album is expected to lean into reggae influences, marking a departure from the funk-driven sound of 2024’s Funk Generation, which earned a Grammy nomination for Best Latin Pop Album and multiple MTV Video Music Awards and Latin Grammy nods.

Structurally, EQUILIBRIVM will be split into two parts. One side focuses entirely on Portuguese-language tracks rooted in Brazilian identity, while the other incorporates English and Spanish, aiming for broader global reach without relying on international features.

Attention now turns to April 11, when Anitta is set to make her debut as a musical guest on Saturday Night Live alongside host Colman Domingo. The performance is widely expected to preview material from EQUILIBRIVM.
