Sabrina Carpenter has just dropped what might be one of the best albums of the year, Short n’ Sweet. Dubbed the “hot older sister” of Emails I Can’t Send, this album is packed with hits, from “Espresso” to “Juno.” With not a single track worth skipping, Short n’ Sweet demands to be played on repeat. Sabrina’s lyrics in “Don’t Smile”—“Don’t smile because it happened baby, cry because it’s over”—perfectly capture the bittersweet experience of listening to this album: you’ll smile while it’s on and feel a tinge of sadness when it ends. The obvious solution? Keep it on loop.

Released via Island Records, Short n’ Sweet explores a range of genres. While it’s primarily a pop album, there are definite touches of R&B woven throughout. In an interview with Interview Magazine, Sabrina revealed that this album feels like her true sophomore effort, and she had full creative control over it. True to its title, Short n’ Sweet is a brief yet impactful record, clocking in at 36 minutes—14 minutes shorter than its predecessor. The album features 12 tracks with no guest appearances, and the production was expertly handled by Julian Bunetta, Leroy Clampitt, John Ryan, Ian Kirkpatrick, and Jack Antonoff.

To promote the album, Sabrina will soon embark on the Short n’ Sweet tour, with the North American leg kicking off on September 23rd in Ohio. While we have a few weeks to wait before seeing Sabrina bring her signature charm and energy to the stage, check out InMusic’s ranking of all the tracks from Short n’ Sweet.
