Twenty One Pilots have officially closed the book on one of modern music’s most ambitious storylines. With the release of their eighth studio album Breach, out today via Fueled by Ramen, Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun bring to an end the conceptual saga that began a decade ago with Blurryface in 2015. Over the years, the duo built an immersive world that blended alternative rock, hip-hop, and electronic elements with cryptic visuals and deeply layered narratives. Now, with Breach, the cycle reaches its long-awaited conclusion.

The journey to this release has been marked by mystery and anticipation. The rollout began in June with the lead single, “The Contract.” In August came “Drum Show,” a percussion-driven anthem that quickly became a fan favorite. Today, alongside the full album, the band unveiled the seven-minute “City Walls,” a powerful single Joseph described as “the definitive end of the lore.”

To mark the release, the band will take Breach on the road with The Clancy Tour: Breach, kicking off September 18 in Cincinnati and running through October 26 in Los Angeles. With 23 North American dates, the tour promises to be a farewell celebration of the narrative that has defined their career.

Here is our ranking of the best songs on Breach.
