NBA YoungBoy is once again keeping fans on edge. The Baton Rouge rapper has hinted that his delayed album Slime Cry could arrive without warning, teasing a surprise drop that bypasses traditional rollout strategies. In a brief but telling message shared on social media, YoungBoy wrote, “My album will just hit your phone unexpectedly.”

The statement follows weeks of uncertainty surrounding Slime Cry, which was originally expected to arrive in late November. When the project failed to drop as planned, concerns quickly spread online. YoungBoy addressed the delay the following day, downplaying fears of cancellation and reassuring listeners that the album was still in progress. “Oh you want my album I forgot. Loading…,” he wrote, signaling that the pause was temporary rather than permanent.

Slime Cry was first announced on October 16, with YoungBoy positioning it as another major chapter in an already prolific year. The project was initially framed as his third full-length release of 2025, following More Leaks, MASA, and DESHAWN. Anticipation intensified during the MASA Tour, particularly after YoungBoy brought out Birdman and Herm The Black Sheep in Atlanta for a surprise performance of “F**k That N***a,” a track that later received an official release in November.
