ADÉLA has scored her first Billboard 200 top 10 with PRIMA, as the Slovakian singer-songwriter’s debut full-length opens at No. 4 on the latest chart. The album earned 56,000 equivalent album units in the United States, giving the 22-year-old artist a major early milestone just days after the project’s release.
PRIMA arrives at No. 4 on the September 19-dated Billboard 200, placing ADÉLA behind Ella Langley’s Dandelion, Olivia Rodrigo’s you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love and Morgan Wallen’s I’m the Problem. Langley’s album returns to No. 1 with 67,000 units for its third nonconsecutive week at the top, while Rodrigo and Wallen rank at Nos. 2 and 3 with 64,000 and 60,000 units, respectively.

For ADÉLA, the result marks the first Billboard 200 top 10 album of her career. She first gained wider attention in 2023 as a contestant on Dream Academy, the reality competition that ultimately launched KATSEYE, before beginning her solo career with “Homewrecked” and “Superscar” in 2024.
A Capitol Records deal followed in 2025, alongside the release of her debut EP The Provocateur. Her breakthrough accelerated this year through a series of PRIMA singles, beginning with “KGB” and continuing with “Red Bottoms” and the viral hit “Ain’t in LA.”
“Ain’t in LA” has emerged as the defining song of the campaign. The track became the first song by a Slovak artist to enter the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at No. 57. On Spotify, it entered the top 10 on the Daily Global chart, making it ADÉLA’s highest-charting song to date.
PRIMA itself also posted an immediate streaming response. The album generated more than 10 million Spotify streams during its first day and entered the U.S. iTunes Top 5, giving ADÉLA one of the biggest opening days for a debut album by a female artist. “Nicole Kidman,” released alongside the album on September 4, also debuted at No. 123 on Spotify’s Daily Global chart.
The 12-track project combines pop, electropop and R&B while focusing on insecurity, ambition, toxic relationships, success and identity. Its title references the “prima ballerina,” the highest rank in ballet, reflecting ADÉLA’s focus on reaching the top while navigating the pressure that comes with ambition.
PRIMA’s chart debut also arrives as ADÉLA continues taking the project to audiences in person. Her Red Bottoms Tour began in London on August 25 and is scheduled to continue through February 3, 2027, when it concludes in Warsaw.
