Bad Bunny delivered one of the most emotional speeches of the 2026 GRAMMY Awards. On February 1, inside Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena, the Puerto Rican superstar won Best Música Urbana Album for DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS, marking his fourth GRAMMY win to date.
As he stepped to the podium, the tone shifted quickly. Before turning to traditional thank-yous, Bad Bunny addressed immigration enforcement directly, referencing U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement amid ongoing national debates and recent protests. “Before I say thanks to God, I’m going to say, ICE out,” he said. He continued by rejecting dehumanizing narratives around immigrants. “We’re not savages, we’re not animals. We are humans and we are Americans.” The speech concluded with a line that drew sustained applause. “The only thing that is more powerful than hate is love.”
DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS has been widely recognized as one of the most personal and culturally grounded albums of Bad Bunny’s career. The project blends reggaeton, Latin pop, and reflective songwriting, while addressing themes of memory, migration, and belonging.
Earlier in the evening, Bad Bunny also picked up Best Global Music Performance for “EoO” during the Premiere Ceremony. He entered the night with multiple nominations, including major categories such as Album of the Year.
