On August 19, Tate McRae delivered an unforgettable concert in Toronto as part of her Miss Possessive Tour in North America. Before every show, the Canadian superstar holds a special pre-show interaction with fans who purchased VIP tickets. As part of the soundcheck, Tate performs a song that doesn’t appear in the main setlist. Sometimes she sings her own tracks; other times, she covers songs by other artists. In Toronto, she performed Camila Cabello’s “B.O.A.T.” from her recent album C,XOXO. Tate’s rendition immediately went viral on social media, with fans praising her vocals and how naturally her voice fit the song.

Among those who applauded Tate’s cover was none other than Camila herself. The “Señorita” hitmaker reposted the performance on her Instagram Stories, writing: “1. Sings like an angel. 2. Looks like an angel. 3. Must be an angel,” praising Tate’s voice, stage presence, and overall talent.

Both Tate McRae and Camila Cabello are having a busy summer. The 22-year-old singer is currently performing the North American leg of her Miss Possessive Tour, in support of her third studio album So Close to What. Tate will remain on the road until November 8, when the tour concludes in Los Angeles. Meanwhile, Camila is promoting C,XOXO. While the Yours, C Tour will not hit North America, she continues to deliver memorable performances across the globe. Most recently, she appeared at the Summer Sonic Festival in Osaka and Tokyo, where she treated Japanese crowds to her latest music.
