Dove Cameron, whose debut album has been eagerly anticipated, has just unveiled exciting details about her upcoming release. The first track, titled “Lethal Woman,” is set to be released next Friday, on October 20. To give fans a taste of what’s to come, Dove has even shared a sneak peek of the song alongside a short visualizer.
In September 2023, the talented singer took a significant step by launching her official fan account, DoveHQ, on Instagram. While presenting at the MTV Video Music Awards, she spilled the beans on her debut album, revealing its title: “With the first volume of my two-part debut album, Alchemical, coming out this fall,” she announced. In an earlier interview with Variety in July, Dove disclosed that she had penned around 60 songs for the album and expressed her desire to include as many of them as possible. This vision eventually led her to divide the album into two parts.
While she has yet to unveil the official release date and tracklist, there’s a strong likelihood that the hit singles “Boyfriend” and “Breakfast” will be featured on the album. Both songs, released in 2022, enjoyed considerable success. “Boyfriend,” expected to be the lead single from “Alchemical,” achieved Platinum certification in the US and earned her the Best New Artist Award at the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards. Just a few weeks ago, she secured another MTV VMA for “Video for Good” with her song “Breakfast.”
