What began as casual podcast chatter has rapidly escalated into one of the most closely watched pop-adjacent social media controversies of the week, pulling KATSEYE’s Megan and Lara, influencer Harry Daniels, and Trisha Paytas into a swirl of speculation over Manon’s future with the group. Across TikTok, X, and Instagram, fans are now dissecting unfollows, deleted posts, and podcast clips that many believe crossed a line between gossip and potentially harmful narrative-building.

The situation traces back to April 21, when Trisha Paytas and Oscar Gracey discussed receiving “tea” from Harry Daniels regarding KATSEYE member Manon during an episode of Trisha’s podcast. In viral clips, Trisha suggested she was “in the know” before stating Manon was “not coming back,” a claim that quickly spread online despite no official confirmation from HYBE x Geffen or KATSEYE’s camp. For fans already concerned over Manon’s hiatus, the comments intensified fears that her absence could be permanent.

Five days later, Daniels added another layer during his own podcast appearance with Trisha and Oscar. While avoiding direct specifics, he referenced a “huge fallout with all my friends” and described seeing Manon at Coachella, where he implied she was upset about not performing with the group. Though still vague, the remarks were interpreted by many fans as reinforcing rumors rather than clarifying them, especially given Daniels’ perceived social proximity to some members.

By April 28, the fallout had become visible publicly. Both Lara and Megan unfollowed Daniels on Instagram, with Daniels returning the move. For fandom spaces, that digital separation spoke loudly. The unfollows were widely read as a sign that the KATSEYE members were distancing themselves from someone fans accused of contributing to speculation during an already sensitive period.

Then came the most criticized move: Daniels posted a carousel featuring photos and videos with Megan, including previously unseen content, captioned “lets work it out on the remix,” while tagging both her public Instagram and what fans alleged was a private or finsta account. Although the private tag was later removed, screenshots circulated immediately, and the post was eventually deleted.
