The meaning of the album title “143” dates back to the ’90s when the number was used as shorthand for “I love you,” with each number representing the number of letters in each word. Katy explained her choice: “I set out to create a bold, exuberant, celebratory dance-pop album with the symbolic 143 numerical expression of love as a throughline message.” The lead single, “Woman’s World,” celebrates womanhood with lyrics like “Sexy, confident / So intelligent / She is heaven-sent / So soft, so strong.”

While the official tracklist, rumored to include 11 songs, is still under wraps, Katy has previewed some tracks during an Instagram Live. Beyond “Woman’s World,” the album will feature “I’m His, He’s Mine” with Doechii, “Nirvana,” and “Gimme Gimme” featuring 21 Savage. There are also rumors of collaborations with JID and Kim Petras based on recent leaks.

Fans are eagerly counting down to September 20th, and Brazilian KatyCats have even more reason to be excited: Katy will headline Rock in Rio, marking her return to the country for the first time since 2015.
