Miley Cyrus is extending the celebration of Hannah Montana with new music, announcing that her single “Younger You” will arrive this Friday as part of the 20th anniversary rollout. The release follows the March 24 premiere of the Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary Special on Disney+, anchoring a week defined by nostalgia and renewed fan engagement.
Sharing the news directly with fans, Cyrus framed the moment as both personal and generational. “Celebrating Hannah Montana isn’t just honoring a show. It’s a full-circle moment for me. HM was the beginning of the life I know now,” she wrote. Her statement continued with a message aimed at longtime listeners: “The bond my fans and I share is as rare and beautiful as this whole journey has been. I adore you all and love you deeply.” Positioned as the emotional centerpiece of the anniversary, the track carries a clear intention. “This anniversary special is a gift from me to younger you… This song says it all.”
The single arrives as part of a broader revival tied to the Disney+ special, which premiered March 24, 2026, two decades after the series first aired. Filmed in front of a live studio audience, the project is built around an extended conversation between Cyrus and host Alex Cooper, tracing the creation and impact of the Hannah Montana persona. Reflections throughout the special revisit the show’s transformation from a scripted Disney Channel series into a global cultural force that defined mid-2000s teen pop. The special features cameos from Selena Gomez and Chappell Roan.
“Younger You” marks Cyrus’ first release since the Something Beautiful era. In September 2025, the Grammy-winning star released a deluxe edition of the album, which featured the new single “Secrets.” The track features contributions from former Fleetwood Mac members Mick Fleetwood and Lindsey Buckingham. Upon its release, Something Beautiful debuted and peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard 200, selling 44,000 units in its first week.
