MrBeast has unexpectedly entered the ongoing NewJeans discourse after reacting to a viral wave of fan pleas tied to Danielle’s escalating legal battle with ADOR. In early January 2026, international NewJeans fans flooded the YouTuber’s TikTok and Instagram comments with messages such as “Save NewJeans,” “Help Danielle,” and “Buy HYBE,” often paired with the hashtag #MrBeastSaveNewJeans. While many posts were clearly tongue-in-cheek, others reflected genuine desperation as the dispute surrounding one of K-pop’s most influential groups continues to intensify.

On January 6, MrBeast responded directly to a post highlighting the comment spam, simply writing, “What do I need to do?” The brief reply immediately went viral, sparking widespread debate over whether the creator was joking, acknowledging the situation, or subtly expressing interest in the issue. Known for high-profile philanthropic stunts and headline-making interventions, MrBeast’s comment was enough to send fans into overdrive, even though no concrete action has been suggested or confirmed.

In addition, MrBeast recently addressed the situation during a livestream with Jasontheween. “Are they [NewJeans] for sale?” he asked. “Can we buy the group? I’m trying to understand, because I keep getting asked to help, but I’m not sure what I’m supposed to do.

The reaction comes amid a deeply fractured moment for NewJeans. The conflict traces back to 2024, when the members accused ADOR and its parent company HYBE of mistreatment and manipulation following the dismissal of former CEO and creative director Min Hee-jin. The group attempted to terminate their exclusive contracts, triggering a prolonged legal battle that culminated in an October 2025 court ruling affirming the contracts’ validity through 2029.

While initial reports suggested all five members would return to ADOR, the situation shifted dramatically on December 29, 2025, when the label terminated Danielle Marsh’s contract. ADOR cited irreparable trust issues and alleged contract violations. Days later, the agency filed a lawsuit seeking approximately 43.1 billion KRW (around $30–43 million USD) in damages against Danielle, a family member, and Min Hee-jin.

As the remaining members reportedly continue under ADOR, NewJeans’ future as a four-member group remains uncertain. Fans, known as Bunnies, have rallied around the slogan “NewJeans is five or nothing,” framing Danielle’s removal as emblematic of broader power imbalances within the K-pop system.
