NBA YoungBoy has sparked new speculation around his now-delayed album Slime Cry after posting a series of cryptic messages on X/Twitter. The rapper, who originally planned to release the project on November 28, hinted that the album may carry deeper significance than fans initially believed — and even suggested it could be his final full-length release.
YoungBoy began by writing, “I want drop the album then die. You’ll never find another.” He followed up with: “My life literally perfect, I’m just not happy. It’s me.” The rapper closed the thread with a final statement: “I promise to show up for you though. You gone be happy #SlimeCry.” The update comes shortly after YoungBoy reassured fans that Slime Cry was still coming following its missed release. In a lighter moment posted on November 29, he joked, “Oh you want my album, I forgot. Loading….”
Initially introduced on October 16, Slime Cry was positioned as YoungBoy’s next major release, following a prolific run that included More Leaks, MASA, and DESHAWN. Buzz escalated during the MASA Tour when he brought Birdman and Herm The Black Sheep onstage in Atlanta for a surprise early performance of “F**k That N***a,” which officially arrived on November 21. Fans expected the full album to follow soon after.
