Olivia Rodrigo may be closer than ever to launching her next era. Fans believe new music could arrive in April after a series of cryptic visual updates and real-world clues sparked intense speculation across social media this weekend.
The first signal appeared online. Rodrigo quietly refreshed the branding on her official website, replacing the design used throughout the GUTS cycle with a new logo. Initially presented in her signature purple color palette, the page later shifted again, introducing a noticeably brighter pink tone that fans quickly interpreted as the aesthetic direction of the upcoming era.
Then came the street-level mystery. Over the weekend, fans in London spotted a heart-shaped lock installation placed along a city road, now painted pink with the word “April” engraved on it. Photos spread quickly across X, where theories about an April release window began circulating within hours.
Clues have been building for weeks. Momentum around Rodrigo’s third studio album intensified following her appearance at Paris Fashion Week on March 5. While attending the Chloé Autumn/Winter 2026 runway show, reporters asked about the upcoming project’s title and concept. Rodrigo declined to reveal details, joking that she planned to keep the information “close to the chest.”
Studio activity has also fueled speculation. Producer Dan Nigro, Rodrigo’s longtime collaborator, posted a photo in late February captioned “Finishing records…,” hinting that new material may already be complete and delivered to Interscope Records.
Their partnership has defined Rodrigo’s meteoric rise. Nigro helped shape SOUR into one of the decade’s most dominant pop debuts, producing Billboard Hot 100 leaders like “drivers license” and “good 4 u.” The follow-up album GUTS arrived in 2023 and debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, powered by singles including “vampire” and “bad idea right?”
