Olivia Rodrigo continues to shatter records in the music industry with her debut album “Sour.” The young artist has recently achieved another milestone as her debut album surpassed a 12 billion streams on Spotify, making her the youngest artist to do so. Additionally, “Sour” counts more than 12.040 billion streams and is less than 100 million streams behind Dua Lipa‘s self-titled album, which is the most streamed female album on Spotify.

The success of “Sour” extends beyond overall streams, with several individual tracks achieving significant milestones of their own. Just days ago, “Favorite Crime” joined the exclusive 1 billion streams club, highlighting the album’s enduring popularity. Furthermore, “Sour” now boasts the most songs with over 1 billion streams, surpassing Ed Sheeran‘s “Divide.”
Adding to her impressive list of accomplishments, one of Rodrigo’s fan-favorite tracks, “Traitor,” has now reached 1.5 billion streams on Spotify. Together with hits like “Drivers License,” “Good 4 U,” and “Deja Vu,” “Sour” now has four songs surpassing the 1.5 billion streams landmark. This achievement sets Rodrigo apart as the first and only artist in history to achieve such a feat with a single album.
Rodrigo’s journey to superstardom began with the release of “Sour” nearly three years ago, on May 21, 2021. Since then, the album has produced chart-topping hits like “Drivers License” and “Good 4 U,” propelling Rodrigo to global fame. Her meteoric rise culminated in three Grammy awards in 2022, including the Best New Artist accolade.
Less than a year ago, she released her sophomore album “Guts,” followed by a deluxe edition titled “Guts (Spilled).” In support of the album, Rodrigo embarked on the Guts World Tour. As she prepares to kick off the European leg of her tour in Dublin, Ireland, on April 30, the “Vampire” singer found the time to join No Doubt for a surprise appearance at Coachella last weekend.
