PinkPantheress and Zara Larsson brought their “Stateside” remix to the stage for the first time Saturday (August 22), turning All Points East into the first live audience to witness the collaboration. Zara Larsson surprised the sold-out Victoria Park crowd by bringing PinkPantheress out during her East Stage set, where the pair performed the hit together.

The appearance came during the second day of All Points East 2026, with Larsson performing ahead of headliner Lorde on a predominantly female-led bill. PinkPantheress was already scheduled to perform elsewhere at the festival, but her surprise appearance during Larsson’s set created one of the day’s biggest crossover moments.

Originally released in April 2025, “Stateside” appeared on PinkPantheress’ mixtape Fancy That. The sleek dance-pop track pairs garage-influenced rhythms with glossy electronic production as PinkPantheress sings about crossing the Atlantic for someone she wants to see.

The song took on a new dimension later that year through Fancy Some More?, the remix project that revisited songs from Fancy That with additional collaborators. Zara Larsson’s version, officially styled “Stateside + Zara Larsson,” quickly emerged as one of the project’s defining hits.

Their collaboration reportedly began with a simple Instagram DM from Larsson to PinkPantheress: “Queen.” The exchange quickly developed into a full collaboration, with Larsson writing and recording her verse while on tour supporting Tate McRae.

The remix eventually became a major commercial breakthrough for both artists. “Stateside” climbed to No. 6 on the Billboard Hot 100 and reached No. 1 on the Billboard Global 200, transforming what began as a remix into one of the biggest pop collaborations of the year.

The track also received another high-profile moment when Olympic figure skater Alysa Liu performed to “Stateside” during the 2026 Winter Olympics exhibition gala.
