Playboi Carti has reassured fans that his highly anticipated album, I Am Music, is still on track for release despite a last-minute delay. The rapper took to social media to explain the holdup, citing sample clearances as the reason for the postponed drop. “If it wasn’t for the samples and clearances it would [have] been out at 12 east but we good err thing cleared it should be out in any sec,” he wrote. He later confirmed that the album is expected to arrive within two hours.

Originally scheduled for release on March 14, I Am Music marks Playboi Carti’s first full-length project since Whole Lotta Red in 2020. The album has been years in the making, with the rapper teasing different versions under various titles, including Narcissist and Music, before settling on I Am Music. Fans have been eagerly awaiting the project, especially after Carti’s recent collaborations with artists like Travis Scott and The Weeknd.
Despite the delay, anticipation remains high. The album is expected to feature a star-studded lineup, with contributions from Young Thug, Future, Lil Uzi Vert, and more. While the official tracklist has not yet been revealed, confirmed songs include “All Red” and “Crush,” featuring Travis Scott.
