Rosalía is taking a step back from the road — at least for now. During her appearance on La Revuelta with David Broncano on Monday, November 10, the Spanish superstar offered a rare glimpse into the emotional and psychological toll that touring takes on artists. Reflecting on her past experiences, Rosalía admitted that while she loves performing, the lifestyle of constant travel can be difficult to sustain.
“There are musicians who enjoy being in the studio more, feeling sheltered, and others who enjoy being on stage more, and you can clearly see that,” she explained. “I enjoy both, but the lifestyle of being on tour is psychologically very tough, even if it doesn’t seem like it. You can spend a year and a half without being home, and that’s really intense.”

Her statement has led many fans to believe that she may not tour in support of her new album LUX, released on November 7 through Columbia Records. Still, Rosalía emphasized that performing remains an essential part of her artistry: “I make music to share something, to make others feel. So why would I say, ‘I’m not going on tour’? No, I have to honor that.”
If she decides to take a break from touring, it would mark her longest hiatus from the stage in years. Her last major tour, the Motomami World Tour, ran from July to December 2022 and became a global phenomenon. Spanning 46 dates across Europe, Latin America, and North America, the tour grossed over $30.4 million, making it Rosalía’s highest-grossing tour to date. It was also the tenth highest-performing female concert tour in the world that year — and the second most successful for a Spanish-singing act.
While fans might be disappointed at the possibility of no LUX tour, the album’s success speaks for itself. LUX shattered streaming records upon release, becoming the most-streamed album in a single day in Spotify history by a Spanish-speaking female artist, with 42.3 million first-day streams. The project more than doubled the debut numbers of her 2022 album Motomami and surpassed Karol G’s 2023 milestone Mañana Será Bonito.
