Sienna Spiro has made a major breakthrough on the UK singles chart, claiming her first-ever No. 1 with “Great Expectation.” The achievement makes the 20-year-old the youngest British female artist to top the Official Singles Chart since Becky Hill in 2014.
Taken from her debut album Visitor, “Great Expectation” has climbed steadily since entering the Official Singles Chart at No. 32 in July. The emotional ballad reached No. 2 last week before finally taking the top spot, knocking Ella Langley’s “Choosin’ Texas” from the summit.

The result gives Sienna Spiro her biggest chart achievement yet after a rapid rise that began with “Die On This Hill” in October 2025. That breakthrough track reached No. 9 in November and returned to the same peak in January 2026, establishing Spiro as one of the UK’s most closely watched emerging artists.
Her momentum continued throughout 2026 with four additional Top 40 appearances. “You Stole The Show,” “The Visitor,” “Material Lover” and “Pure” all helped build the audience around Visitor, but none had managed to push Sienna Spiro to No. 1 until “Great Expectation” completed its climb. At 20, she becomes the youngest British female artist to reach the top since Becky Hill topped the chart with “Gecko (Overdrive)” featuring Oliver Heldens in July 2014.
Elsewhere in the Top 40, Dua Lipa’s “Training Season” returned to the Top 10, climbing 11 places to No. 7 as the 2024 single continues to benefit from renewed viral activity on social media. Tame Impala, the project led by Kevin Parker, also secured a second Top 10 entry as “Loser” reached No. 10, joining “Dracula” in the upper tier.
ADÉLA also continued her rise alongside the success of her debut album PRIMA, which opened at No. 2 on the UK Albums Chart. “Ain’t in LA” climbed 14 places to a new peak of No. 12, while Miley Cyrus scored the week’s highest new entry with “Bass Persuades” at No. 31, giving her a 27th Top 40 hit.
