Taylor Swift fans are once again searching for hidden clues after a series of green-themed posts sparked fresh speculation about the singer’s next project. With the 20th anniversary of her self-titled debut album approaching, many Swifties believe the latest hints could point toward a celebration of the record that launched her career.

The latest round of theories began after green “TS” logos appeared outdoors, followed by a playful post from the Empire State Building’s official observation deck account. Sharing a photo of the landmark glowing green, the account wrote, WhaTS happening?—with the capitalized TS immediately catching fans’ attention.

The comments quickly filled with speculation. “Is it Debut? Is it Reputation? Is it TS13? I am going crazy,” one fan wrote. Another added, “Do they know something we don’t or are they just playing in our faces.”

Although the post has fueled excitement across social media, there is currently no official confirmation that Taylor Swift is teasing new music or an anniversary release. The Empire State Building’s observation deck account has frequently embraced Swiftie culture through playful references designed to boost engagement, and the green image was promotional rather than a reflection of the building’s actual lighting, which remained its standard white.

Still, the timing has fans paying close attention. Swift’s debut album, Taylor Swift, was released on October 24, 2006, meaning its 20th anniversary is now just over two months away. The project introduced the singer-songwriter to the world with tracks including “Tim McGraw,” “Teardrops on My Guitar,” “Our Song,” and “Should’ve Said No.” It spent 24 weeks at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart, became the longest-charting album of the 2000s on the Billboard 200, and was later certified eight-times platinum by the RIAA.

The color green has long been associated with Swift’s debut era, making it a natural focal point for fan theories. Others, however, believe the clues could relate to Reputation (Taylor’s Version) or even a completely new project, with some pointing to the stylized “TS” as a possible reference to TS13, Taylor Swift’s next studio album.
