On February 18, Taylor Swift was officially named IFPI’s Biggest-Selling Global Artist of the Year 2025, extending an incredible streak that began four years ago. The announcement from International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI) marks Swift’s sixth career win and her fourth consecutive year at No. 1 on the IFPI Global Artist Chart.

The milestone is historic. Over the past decade, Swift has now claimed the award as many times as all other artists combined. Her 2025 dominance was powered by the release of her 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, alongside the global rollout of her tour documentary, The End of an Era. Across streaming platforms, digital downloads, and physical formats, engagement remained exceptionally strong throughout the calendar year.

Elsewhere on the IFPI 2025 Global Artist Chart, Stray Kids achieved their highest-ever position at No. 2, marking a third straight year in the global top five. Bad Bunny placed at No. 5, securing his sixth consecutive appearance on the chart. Tyler, The Creator entered the ranking for the first time at No. 12, buoyed by strong vinyl sales across his catalog. Japanese band Mrs. GREEN APPLE debuted at No. 13 following the success of their anniversary album 10. Lady Gaga returned to the chart at No. 10, her first appearance since 2020, while Ed Sheeran (No. 18), SZA (No. 19), and Justin Bieber (No. 20) also re-entered the rankings.

IFPI will publish its Global Single and Global Album Charts later this week, offering further insight into the releases that shaped 2025.
