It’s back-to-back triumphs for Twenty One Pilots. In our recent fan poll ranking this week’s biggest music releases, the duo’s new single “Drum Show” claimed an overwhelming victory, securing 96% of the vote. Competing against Doja Cat’s “Jealous Type” (2%), Ava Max’s Don’t Click Play (1%), and Mariah the Scientist’s Hearts Sold Separately (1%), the result was more than decisive—it was a landslide. It marks the second time in a row that the duo—Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun—have won our weekly fan poll on X/Twitter. Their previous single, “The Contract,” also dominated with a staggering 96% in June.

“Drum Show,” released on August 18 as the second single from the upcoming album Breach, carries special weight in the band’s catalog. For the first time ever, drummer Josh Dun takes the lead on vocals. The track moves away from the conceptual world of Dema and Clancy, which has long shaped the band’s visual storytelling, instead opting for grounded, minimalist imagery. Meanwhile, anticipation for Breach continues to grow.

As mentioned, this week fans enjoyed a wide variety of new music. Doja Cat delivered the slick and funky “Jealous Type,” which has drawn critical acclaim and broke the record for the biggest debut on Spotify with over 3 million streams. Ava Max returned with her third album Don’t Click Play, while Mariah the Scientist dominated R&B releases with Hearts Sold Separately.
