Lady Gaga marked her 40th birthday with a quiet celebration centered on music. The singer turned 40 on March 28, and shortly after shared a personal message reflecting on the moment while spotlighting three new releases that defined her day.
Posting on TikTok, Gaga shared: “Haute & Freddy, Robyn, and Raye filled my birthday with their beautiful new albums.” She added, “Had the best time listening and relaxing with Michael as we wind down The Mayhem Ball. Thank you, Michael for making my birthday so so special, I love you. May the birthday month begin. Thank you monsters for all your beyond kind messages. Growing up w you is something I will always cherish.”
The artists she highlighted all released projects within 24 hours of her birthday, creating a tightly aligned pop release window. Haute & Freddy dropped their debut album Big Disgrace, a theatrical synth-pop set built around performance-driven themes and dancefloor hooks.
Swedish artist Robyn returned with Sexistential on March 27, her first full-length release since 2018’s Honey. The album leans into her signature emotional club sound, pairing high-energy production with introspective songwriting.
Also included in Gaga’s message was RAYE, whose second studio album This Music May Contain Hope. arrived the same day. Spanning 17 tracks, the project is structured around four seasonal “acts” and explores themes of resilience and personal growth. The album follows a major commercial run where lead single “Where Is My Husband!” topped the UK Singles chart.
Gaga’s birthday coincided with the final stretch of her Mayhem Ball Tour, which is now approaching its closing dates. Tonight, she performs the first of two consecutive shows in Boston before heading to Montreal for a three-night run. The tour will conclude on April 13 at Madison Square Garden in New York, bringing an end to one of her most extensive live cycles in recent years.
